Terror and us

Back to writing after a long break, the world and my life have had some very devastating / intresting developments in past few weeks.

As for movies, Watched Rock On twice, watched Dr. Strangelove's, re watched Maachis.

In the world, Bombs exploded in Delhi, Lehman filled bankruptcy, world economy has gone worse, India signed 123 agreement.

Amidst all this something very beautiful happened, yes the four letter world, it entered my life and things are changed for better. I find a different attitude in me, the whole frustration though it's still there but would be mellowed down, the anger is still there but I also see a few more things now.

Of all the happenings in world what bothers me most is the Bomb Blasts and it's after effects. Was talking to a colleague on what caused it and what's the way out. His reaction shook me in and out. When people from the educated strata of society quote things like "Mullon ko nikal do sari problem solve ho jayegi, har muslman terrorist hota hai." It makes me feel something is seriously wrong. This is a voluntary reaction, when something happens our mind tries to look for a cause and depending on it's level it finds one. Blaming one community for all such problems is the easiest and very obvious reaction.

My counter arguments were, LTTE one of deadliest organization doesn't have a single Muslim. Nepal, a Hindu country is shattered by terrorism and no terrorist out there is Muslim. Taliban was created with help of America.

The conversation went haywire so no point quoting it further, but the point I was trying to make is Terrorism has no religion, cast, creed or color. One more thing I found out, common social sense has nothing to do with education or intelligence.

At times, I see the lower strata like drivers, maids at times more sensuous sensible than so called highly educated professionals.

Man and groups, the problem is the group/ herd mentality. Anyone can fall for it, without corresponding to his education, social status, IQ level. The reason, I don't know, may be because man is born bad or may be because of loss of his "I", about which I've already in length previously.

P.S.: I'm posting this incomplete.

"I have come here to say that I do not recognize anyone's right to one minute of my life.... It had to be said. The world is perishing from an orgy of self-sacrificing."

Yep, Generalizations sucks..
Its funny how people come to conclusions..
One ugly girl was intelligent..so "ugly girls have brains"
One pretty girl was dumb..so "pretty girls are dumb"
My dad says that Maharashtrians are dim wits because couple of maharashtrian workers in his office are dumb
and all our conclusions are dangerously subjective..
